Gadamer and the Question of Understanding

This book retraces the development of Hans-Georg Gadamer’s philosophical hermeneutics in relation with (and against) Martin Heidegger’s early ontological hermeneutics as well as his later thought and subjects it to a critical examination from the point of view of Jacques Derrida’s deconstruction.
