Exposures emphasizes the critical self-reflexivity and the personal and artistic risks characterizing gay male life writing. Focusing on more than a dozen authors, it calls on critical work by Eve Kosofsky Sedgwick and by Jacques Rancière, and addresses the debates within queer theory about the antisocial turn and Tomkins’s affect theory.
