Gender in Securitization Theory

The thesis links the Copenhagen School’s securitization theory to gender studies, examining how gender shapes the referent object and threat in EU migration discourse. Using Critical Frame Analysis, it explores how smuggling and trafficking are framed through gendered notions of vulnerability and threat.
